Greater Media Philadelphia said Mario Russo had been named general sales manager of WBEN-FM and WNUW-FM in Philadelphia. Russo had been local sales manager at WMMR-FM.
The company also said Jim Brown had been promoted to group sales manager of Greater Media Philadelphia. Brown had been the station manager of WNUW-FM.
YSC, a global consultancy, named Kathleen Gounaris general manager, Philadelphia office. Gounaris is founder-president of The Gounaris Group L.L.C., which specializes in business and wealth psychology.

Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, said David J. Reich had been appointed chief of the Division of Multi-organ Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Hahnemann, and professor and vice chairman of the Department of Surgery for Drexel University College of Medicine. Before coming to Hahnemann, Reich was director of Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Peirce College promoted James J. Mergiotti to president and chief executive officer of the Philadelphia-based college. He will take over July 1, replacing Arthur J. Lendo. He is executive vice president and chief operating officer. He was hired as vice president for administration in 1998.
