The American Heart Association's Great Rivers Affiliate said David Starfield, managing partner at Starfield & Smith P.C., Fort Washington, had joined its Southeastern Pennsylvania board.

ACHIEVEability, a nonprofit human-services organization in West Philadelphia, appointed four new board members:

Halmon Banks 3d, partner, Martin, Banks, Pond, Lehocky & Wilson, Philadelphia.

Dale Keshishian, director of special projects, Delaware County Community Foundation, and deputy chairman of health care, education, and workforce development, Strengthening the Mid-Atlantic Region for Tomorrow.

Akiesha Beasley, a client in the ACHIEVEability program since September 2007 who is attending the Community College of Philadelphia.

Alexis Ahiagbe, also a client since 2006 and a senior at DeVry University.

The Presbyterian Children's Village, a Rosemont nonprofit human-services organization, elected Natasha Strother to its board. She is executive vice president, Strother Enterprises Inc., Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board, which provides the city with strategic and policy guidance to enhance workforce opportunities, elected Roosevelt Hairston Jr. chairman. Hairston is senior vice president for government affairs, community relations, and advocacy, as well as deputy general counsel-litigation for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Mayor Nutter also appointed five new members to the board:

Virginia P. Barakat is vice president of human resources at Independence Blue Cross, Philadelphia.

Phillip S. Barnett is senior vice president and chief financial officer for Peco Energy Co., Philadelphia.

David G. Donald is founder of People Share.

Peter J. Franks is executive director and associate vice provost for Drexel University's Steinbright Career Development Center.

Elizabeth Riley-Wasserman is senior vice president of human resources at Mercy Health System, Conshohocken.

The Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, a nonprofit public-policy organization, elected James K. Wujcik vice chairman of the board. He is market executive for Sovereign Bancorp Inc., Philadelphia. The following were elected as board members:

Sanket A. Akerkar is district general manager for Mid-Atlantic states at Microsoft Corp., Malvern.

Jeffrey L. Ferro is chief operating officer at Parente Randolph L.L.C., Philadelphia.

Kimberly A. Joyce is manager of regulatory affairs for Aqua America Inc., Bryn Mawr.

Stephen Wanner is partner, assurance and advisory business services at Ernst & Young L.L.P., Philadelphia.

Professional Women's Roundtable, a nonprofit group for emerging women business leaders in the greater Philadelphia region, named its new officers and board members:

Stacy Slattery Richards, a regional manager for West, a Thomson-Reuters Business, Eagan, Minn., and West Chester, is president.

Kristin Daly, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty Inc., Philadelphia, is vice president.

Liza Herschel, a senior consultant for SDI Communications L.L.C., Princeton, is cochairwoman, events committee.

Angela Val, vice president of special projects for the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp., Philadelphia, is cochairwoman, events committee.

Alexandra Kane-Weiss, an associate vice president/group account manager for StarToplin, Fort Washington, is chairwoman, public relations/communications committee.

Capital Bank of New Jersey, a Vineland-based community bank, appointed Harry E. Hearing to its board. Hearing is a certified public accountant in Vineland.

Sunah Park was appointed to the Democratic National Committee's Democratic Change Commission, whose members review and recommend changes to the Democratic Party's rules for the 2012 presidential nominating and delegate-selection process. She is a member of the Commercial and Corporate Litigation Practice Group at Thorp Reed & Armstrong L.L.P., Philadelphia.

Endo Pharmaceuticals Holdings Inc., a publicly held Chadds Ford specialty-pharmaceutical company, appointed Nancy J. Hutson to its board. Hutson retired from Pfizer Inc. in 2006 after 25 years in various research and leadership positions with the company, serving most recently as senior vice president, Pfizer Global Research and Development.

Robin Hood Ventures, a Wayne angel investor, named the following to its board:

David Twersky was the founder and chief executive officer of Dixon-Shane Drug Co., which he sold in 2002. Currently, he is an active investor in and adviser to early-stage companies.

Tom Olenzak is a founding partner and managing director of Fountainhead Venture Group, Malvern.

Jeff Strider was managing director of a small litigation consulting practice from 1997 until its sale to FTI Consulting Inc.

Larry Brotzge is an independent consultant and an angel investor who has an ownership position in several small/start-up businesses and consults with a number of other companies.

John Moore was the controller for North, Central, and South America at Seton Co., Norristown.

Stephanie W. Naidoff was named to the board of Penn Medicine, Philadelphia. She is a former director of commerce and city representative for the City of Philadelphia and is the founding president of the Philadelphia Women's Forum.
