Ex-MLB pitchers to pitch care at Deborah Heart

Former major league-baseball pitchers Mitch Williams and Goose Gossage will promote Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Brown Mills, a specialty hospital with 1,000 employees, in television advertisements.

John Ernst, chief executive officer and president, said the hospital treated several former major-league baseball players and reached a partnership agreement with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association for promotional help from Williams, a former Phillie, and Gossage, a former Yankee.

The players who were treated were thankful for the hospital's care and payment policies, Ernst said. Deborah accepts third-party payments but does not bill patients.
