Technitrol Inc. is changing its name to Pulse Electronics Corp. to integrate its corporate and operating identities.

Technitrol Inc. is changing its name to Pulse Electronics Corp. to integrate its corporate and operating identities.

Technitrol, of Trevose, an electronics components provider founded in 1947, acquired Pulse Engineering in 1995 and has been operating it as a separate business unit.

As part of the name change, the company will change the ticker symbol for its common stock listed on the New York Stock Exchange to "PULS," effective the start of trading next Monday. Until then, trading will continue under "TNL."

The company website URL also has changed to www.pulseelectronics.com.    - Diane Mastrull
