Herley wins $1M aircraft contract

Herley Industries Inc., Lancaster, said today it won a $1 million contract to make micorwave assemblies for a U.S. defense contractor.

The contractor, which was not named, will use the assemblies for a Navy electronic attack aircraft. Herley said it anticipates receiving "significant" additional orders on this project.

Herley, which has annual sales of about $188 million, makes microwave technology equipment for the defense, aerospace and medical industries.    -Paul Schweizer
