has been hired as senior vice president and chief medical officer at

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

. Apkon most recently was vice president and executive director of the Children's Hospital division of Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Comcast-Spectacor, the Philadelphia sports and entertainment firm, promoted Lou Scheinfeld, who was instrumental in the formation of the Spectrum and the Flyers in l966, to vice president of development. He had been director of closure for the Spectrum.

Global Spectrum, operator of the Wells Fargo Center for Comcast-Spectacor, named Josh Ingle director of operations at Wells Fargo Center. Ingle most recently was director of operations at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

The bank named Catherine G. Tipson vice president, credit administration, 1835 Market St. Tipson was formerly vice president in the Cash Management Unit of First Priority Bank, Malvern.

It also named Jay Power senior vice president, commercial lending. Power had been senior vice president, Customers Bank, Newtown Square.

It named John H. Dean senior vice president of commercial lending. Dean had been senior vice president in commercial lending, private banking and merchant services at the Bancorp Bank in Philadelphia and Wilmington.

It appointed Cara Rinck vice president of business development for Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Rinck was formerly vice president at Harleysville National Bank, Blue Bell.

Vcopious, a Conshohocken software maker that provides a virtual environment software platform, hired Patrick Burke as director of marketing. Burke was director of marketing and e-commerce in the software/security field.
