The Philadelphia Bar Foundation, a nonprofit organization, has selected Wendy Beetlestone as president for a two-year team. She is an education litigator and shareholder at Hangley, Aronchick, Segal & Pudlin P.C. and had been general counsel of the School District of Philadelphia. She succeeds Amy B. Ginensky, partner and chairwoman of Commercial Litigation at Pepper Hamilton L.L.P.

The New Jersey Association of Realtors, a trade organization, has installed the following officers to its board for 2011:

Allan Dechert, broker and co-owner of Ferguson Dechert Real Estate Inc., Avalon, is president.

Gary Large, manager of the Morris County Regional Sales Center for Prudential New Jersey Properties L.L.C. in Morristown, is president-elect.

Christina Banasiak, a broker associate at Weichert, Realtors-Marlboro in Manalapan, is first vice president.

Melanie Selk, a broker-associate at RE/MAX Estates Realty in Clark, is treasurer.

The Alice Paul Institute, a nonprofit Mount Laurel organization dedicated to educating the public about New Jersey suffragist Alice Stokes Paul, has elected Michele Dorris chairwoman. Dorris is a director of information technology at Campbell Soup Co., Camden.

BLOCS (Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools), a Philadelphia nonprofit charity, has appointed Michael F. Savage to its board. Savage is the president and chief executive officer of PTR Baler & Compactor Co., Philadelphia, and a founder of the Port Richmond Industrial Development Enterprise.

St. Catherine Labouré Medical Clinic, a Germantown nonprofit organization that serves Philadelphians without health insurance, has named M. Brooks Turkel and Ralph J. Teti to its board. Turkel is CEO of Chestnut Hill Hospital. Teti is a labor and employment lawyer and a partner at Willig, Williams & Davidson.

The Free Library of Philadelphia has appointed Cindy Affleck to its foundation's board of directors. Affleck is the former president and a current board member of the Friends of the Wissahickon and a current member of the Fairmount Conservancy Board.

Geri Swift was appointed by Mayor Nutter to the City of Philadelphia Office of Economic Opportunity Advisory Board. The board will assist in a city initiative to increase inclusion of minority-, women-, and disabled-owned businesses in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors and will advise on workforce diversity. Swift is the founder and president of the Women's Business Enterprise Council PA-DE-sNJ.
