Blair Kahora Cardinal, account supervisor at Buchanan Public Relations, is president-elect.

Anne A. Buchanan, founder and president of Buchanan Public Relations, is vice president.

Amy Merves, client-solutions manager at Vox Medica Inc., is treasurer.

Sarah Casey, senior account executive at Maven Communications, is secretary.

The Bucks County Historical Society, a private nonprofit organization that operates the Mercer and Fonthill Museums in Doylestown, has announced new officers and trustees for 2011.

Brian R. McLeod, retired senior vice president of marketing at Merck & Co. Inc., is chairman.

Tom Thomas, retired president of Thomas Travel, and Krista P. Harper, a partner with Curtin & Heefner L.L.P., are vice presidents.

Richard Paynton, president of Dontech Corp., is secretary.

The Academy of Vocal Arts, a nonprofit cultural organization founded in 1934 that provides tuition-free vocal and opera training to talented and committed young singers, has elected the following board members:

Richard Troxell is a tenor and recently performed as Don José in Carmen, directed by Francesca Zambello, at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

John A. Nyheim, a philanthropist, is among the longest-serving members of the Drexel University board of trustees.

Walter M. Strine Jr. is president of Hamilton Reserve Insurance Co. Ltd., Bermuda, and is director and officer of Strine Family Foundations.

Community Health Accreditation Program, a Washington-based, nonprofit independent accrediting body for community-based health-care organizations, has elected Michele L. Fiore to its board for a three-year term. She is vice president of clinical services, private services, and "Living Life" palliative care for Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association Inc.

RSVP of Montgomery County Inc., a Blue Bell nonprofit organization that promotes volunteerism among area residents 55 and older, has appointed John Heiberger to its board. He is a retired associate professor of business and chairman of the business department at Cabrini College.

The Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group, a nonprofit professional association of senior-level executives, has elected Anne Robson, Larry Buchwalter, and Paul Mitchell to three-year terms as at-large board members. Robson is executive vice president and chief client officer at Kelleher Associates L.L.C. Buchwalter is president and CEO at Stilwell Enterprises L.L.C. Mitchell is an investment banker. He was the founding president of CoreStates Enterprise Fund and was formerly president of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Development Fund, a regional small-business lender.

Gaudenzia Inc., a not-for-profit Wilmington provider of drug and alcohol treatment services, has elected Richard Z. Freemann Jr. as chairman and Phillip Jordan as vice chairman. Freemann is president at Freemann Law Offices P.C. in Center City. Jordan is principal at Phillip Jordan Architects in Drexel Hill.

The Hill at Whitemarsh, a continuing-care retirement community in Lafayette Hill, has appointed James S. Studdiford and Roslyn Tate to its board. Studdiford is a professor of Family and Community Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Tate is a former vice president of events for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
