The Delaware County Community Foundation, a Radnor nonprofit group, has elected the following officers and members for 2011.

Carmen P. Belefonte, managing lawyer of the Media office of Saltz, Mongeluzzi, Barrett & Bendensky P.C., is chairman.

Steve Carroll, partner in the law firm Carroll & Karagelian L.L.P. in Media, is vice chairman.

Gwendolyn A. Smith, president of Springfield Hospital and vice president of the Crozer Keystone Health System, is secretary.

Leonard V. Santivasi, a business consultant and retired president of Elko & Associates Ltd., is treasurer.

Named to the executive committee are:

Bruce M. Brown, trustee of the HBE Foundation.

David A. Stitely, retired vice president of Rohm & Haas Co.

Joseph E. Lastowka Jr., a partner at Abbott, Lastowka & Overholt L.L.P., Media.

Julia R. Dutton, former executive director of the Stoneleigh Foundation in Philadelphia, and Steven R. Derby, vice president for development at Riddle Memorial Hospital and the Riddle Healthcare Foundation, were named to the board.

Mayor Nutter has appointed Elizabeth Kay Miller to the City Planning Commission, the organization responsible for guiding the growth and development of Philadelphia. She is executive director of the Community Design Collaborative, a nonprofit organization that works with community-based groups on design issues.

The Montgomery Bar Association has installed Carolyn Tornetta Carluccio as the organization 87th president. She is a judge with Montgomery County Court.

Terence Farrell has been appointed to serve on the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. Farrell replaces Carol Aichele, who was nominated by Gov. Corbett to be Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is chairman of the Chester County Commissioners.

South Jersey Industries Inc., a publicly held Folsom, N.J., energy-services holding company, has elected Shahid Malik to its board and the board of South Jersey Energy. He is a management consultant at Energy Business Group of PRTM, a Boston advisory firm. Malik will also serve on the executive committees of South Jersey Energy Solutions L.L.C. and its subsidiaries and on the audit and compensation committees of South Jersey Energy.

The Historical Society of Pennsylvania, founded in 1824 in Philadelphia, has named the following new members to its board:

Lori Cohen is the director of Arader Galleries in Philadelphia, which specializes in American and European watercolors, drawings, and engravings from the 16th through 19th centuries.

Larry Farnese is a state senator who represents Philadelphia's First Senatorial District and serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Shanta Ghosh is the chairwoman of Development Consultants Group and chairwoman of the DC Industrial Plant Services Pvt. Ltd., the principal partner of Development Architects Pvt. Ltd., the managing director of Bengal DCL Housing Development Co. Ltd.

Bill Green is an at-large Philadelphia city councilman and is of counsel at the law firm Kutak Rock L.L.P.

John Pickering is a partner and portfolio manager at Cooke & Bieler Inc., Philadelphia, a specialist investment-counseling firm, and was executive vice president and head of wealth management at Bryn Mawr Trust.

Robert D. Fox, managing partner of Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox L.L.P., an environmental, energy, and land-use law firm, has been appointed chairman of the Lower Merion Zoning Hearing Board. He has been a member of the board since 2006. Fox is also the Thomas A. O'Boyle adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.

The Association of Corporate Counsel's Delaware Valley Chapter, a nonprofit worldwide in-house legal association, installed the following officers and members to its board:

Thomas Molchan, senior vice president and associate general counsel at Aramark Corp., is president.

Eric Tilles, associate general counsel at Arkema Inc., is first vice president.

Grace Manno, interim counsel for AmerisourceBergen Corp., is second vice president.

Michael Duff, senior vice president and general counsel at Penske Truck Leasing Co. L.P., is treasurer.

Paul Weiss, general counsel and chief legal officer at the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, is secretary.

Magellan Hill Technologies L.L.C., a Haddonfield telecommunications-management and consulting company, has named Joseph Ambersley to a three-year term on its board. Ambersley is the chairman of Washington, D.C.-based COMPTEL, a trade association for the telecommunications industry.

Gregory B. Williams, a partner in the Wilmington office of Fox Rothschild L.L.P., was selected by the judges of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware to be chairman of the U.S. Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel, an 11-member panel that investigates and interviews applicants for the vacant U.S. magistrate judge position. He is co-chairman of the firm's diversity committee and focuses his practice on commercial, intellectual-property, and other business litigation.  

The Wilma Theater, a nonprofit Philadelphia cultural organization, has appointed Maggy MacPherson to its board. She is director of marketing and communications for ParenteBeard L.L.C., Philadelphia.

U-Store-It Trust, a publicly held Wayne real estate investment that owns and or manages self-storage units across the country, has elected Jeffrey Rogatz to its board. Rogatz is the co-founder of Palladian Realty Capital L.L.C. and founder and president of Triangle Real Estate Advisors L.L.C.

Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell and Pottstown, has named the following officers to its board of trustees:

Michael J. D'Aniello, a lawyer in private practice and managing member of First Republic Abstract L.L.C., is chairman.

Andrew B. Cantor, a partner with Wisler Pearlstein L.L.P., is vice chairman.

Regina Lowrie, president and chief executive officer of Vision Mortgage Capital in Blue Bell, is treasurer.

Gertrude Mann, a member of the Ambler Kiwanis Club, is secretary.

Michael J. Paston, founder of the 501 Group in Fort Washington, is assistant secretary.

       The Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Delaware Minority Supplier Development Council, Philadelphia, has elected Maurice Williams chairman of its board. He is supplier diversity regional manager for Pepco Holdings Inc. George Council, vice president of strategic sourcing and acquisition integration for AlliedBarton Security Services L.P., was named vice chairman.

      Philadelphia Financial, a Plymouth Meeting provider of insurance strategies to financial advisers of ultra-high-net-worth individuals, has appointed Jeffrey Taylor to its board. Taylor is the founder of Legend Global Group. - Mike Zebe
