The YMCA of Philadelphia and Vicinity, a nonprofit provider of programs to encourage youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, appointed the following members to its board:

Walt D'Alessio, senior managing director of NorthMarq's Real Estate Consulting Group.

Jeffrey Fialko, a partner at Ernst & Young.

Steve Genyk, managing director of Fixed Income Capital Markets.

Michael Hagan, president and CEO of LifeShield Inc.

Debby Kuhn, retired as vice president and product managerCoreStates Bank.

Daniel Tropeano, vice president of sales and client services for UnitedHealthcare of PA & DE.

The New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co., a West Trenton insurance company, elected Edward A. Stern to its board. He is copresident and chief financial officer of Kreisler Manufacturing Corp., Elmwood Park.

Art-Reach Inc., a nonprofit Philadelphia organization that makes cultural experiences more accessible to people with disabilities and economic disadvantages, elected Pamela Rainey Lawler, Kelly R. Lee, and Talia A. Stinson to its board. Lawler is director of development at Catholic Partnership Schools, Camden. Lee is former president and CEO of Innovation Philadelphia. Stinson is director of operations at Philadelphia School Partnership.

Frank M. Linguiti was named to the executive committee of the Philadelphia Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. Linguiti, a former research and development engineer for computer hardware and software projects, is a partner at Caesar, Rivise, Bernstein, Cohen & Pokotilow, a Philadelphia intellectual-property law firm.

James M. Matour was appointed to the board of trustees of the Abraham Lincoln Foundation of the Union League of Philadelphia. The foundation oversees the art and artifact collections of the Union League, and their use in historical and cultural education programs in the community. Matour is a shareholder and chair of the bankruptcy group at Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, Philadelphia.

Roberta D. Pichini was named the first female president of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. She is a litigator at Feldman Shepherd Wohlge-lernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig.

The Library Company of Philadelphia, a nonprofit research library founded by Benjamin Franklin, elected the following members to its board of trustees:

Maude de Schauensee is the former Fowler/van Santvoord Keeper of the Near Eastern collections at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.

Richard Wood Snowden is the managing partner of Bowman Properties, which owns and manages a portfolio of historic residential and commercial buildings in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.

Clarence Wolf owns and operates the George S. MacManus Co., a seller of rare books and manuscripts specializing in Americana and English and American literary first editions.

Sean R. Sullivan, an appellate attorney and business litigator with Curtin & Heefner L.L.P., was elected vice chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Civil Litigation Section. He also was appointed cochair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Appellate Courts Committee.

Cosmo DeNicola and Janet DeNicola were named to the board of MKS&D Talent Management, New York and Los Angeles. DeNicola is owner and president of Amtech Software, Fort Washington, and co-owner of the Philadelphia Soul. DeNicola is owner and president of Futura Services, Fort Washington.

Nancy Costello and Vincent Prestileo Jr. were appointed to the board of trustees at Cabrini College, Radnor. Costello is director of website/communications and vocation team coordinator for the Stella Maris Province of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Prestileo is a Realtor on the John McFadden Team at RE/MAX Hometown in Media.

Susan A. Feeney, a partner in the Tax and Benefits Practice at McCarter & English, was named president of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
