The Radnor Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides funding to the Radnor Township School District, has elected these members to its board of trustees:
John DeFlaminis, executive director of the Penn Center for Educational Leadership at the Graduate School of Education and a former superintendent of the district.
Bob Pietrobono, principal of advisory services for Ernst & Young L.L.P.
Kat Springer, active in Radnor schools and most recently the Wayne Elementary School PTO president.
Julie Tewksbury, a volunteer in Radnor schools.
Julia Ward, a sales associate with Prudential Fox Roach Realtors and vice president of the Radnor Middle School PTO.
Philadelphia University has named Eileen McPartland and Francis J. Shammo to its board of trustees. McPartland is chief operating officer of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. Shammo is president and CEO of Verizon Telecom & Business.
Laura Lomax Gaines and Michael Tierney have been appointed to the board of trustees at Neumann University. Gaines is CEO and cofounder of Dimona Greening Co. Tierney is a partner in the corporate department at Dilworth Paxson L.L.P.
The National Kidney Foundation of the Delaware Valley has elected Bill Campbell and Jim Wilson to its board. Campbell is a vice president of the pain care and oncology units at Cephalon Inc., Frazer. Wilson is a professor and assistant vice president for academic affairs at Wilmington University.
The Fairmount Park Conservancy, the primary private-sector fund-raising entity for Fairmount Park, has appointed Catherine H. Reddick to its board. Reddick is a senior associate at Mercator Advisors L.L.C.
Gabriel L.I. Bevilacqua has been reappointed to his second three-year term on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, an independent agency funded by the court. He is a partner at Saul Ewing L.L.P. and general counsel for the American Board of Surgery Inc.
Hope Krebs has been named president of the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia. Krebs is the third partner from Duane Morris L.L.P. to serve as chapter president. She is an international tax partner and cochair of the international-practice group.
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, a nonprofit organization that provides temporary housing and services to families while their children are hospitalized, has elected Jon Hitchcock, president and general manager at CBS3 and CW57; Cynthia Keaveney, a human capital executive; and Mark Turner, president of Turner Investment Partners Inc., to its board.
Barbara A. Zemlock has been named president of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a Harrisburg professional association. She is a principal in the Harrisburg office of Post & Schell P.C.
Jill M. Baren has been named chairwoman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a professor of emergency medicine and holds a secondary appointment as professor of pediatrics, seeing patients at both the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Kevin Casey has been elected as vice president of the Federal Circuit Historical Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Casey is a partner and chair of the intellectual-property practice group at Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young L.L.P.
The Wistar Institute, an independent Philadelphia nonprofit biomedical research institute founded in 1892, has named Elizabeth McKee Anderson, Daniel K. Fitzpatrick, and Lawrence V. Stein to its board of trustees. McKee Anderson is worldwide vice president, vaccines, global strategic marketing, at Johnson & Johnson. Fitzpatrick is the regional CEO for the Mid-Atlantic Region of Citizens Bank. Stein is counsel at Reed Smith L.L.P.
The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, a nonprofit organization, has appointed Jay Weinstein to its board. Weinstein is the partner-in-charge of the Philadelphia office of EisnerAmper L.L.P.
The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia, has named Curtis K. Welsh, Kathleen F. Wagner, and Cheryl Mason-Dorman to its board. Welsh is a senior accountant in the audit and accounting group at Kreischer Miller. Mason-Dorman is the assistant principal of Stephen Decatur Elementary and Jules Mastbaum AVTS in the School District of Philadelphia. Wagner is proprietor of Kathleen F. Wagner Consulting, a professional management consultant to cultural institutions.
The Greater Philadelphia Association for Recovery Education, a nonprofit group that oversees The Bridge Way School, Philadelphia's first recovery high school for students who have completed a substance-abuse treatment program, has elected the following members to its board:
