Olympus Corp. of the Americas, Center Valley, Pa., has named Michael C. Woodford, president and chief operating officer, to chief executive of OCA in addition to his role as chairman. Karl Watanabe, executive vice president and chief financial officer, has been promoted to president-corporate, OCA. The moves follow the retirement of F. Mark Gumz as president and CEO.

  William H. Spence has been named president of PPL Corp., the Allentown energy company. He had been executive vice president and will retain his responsibilities as chief operating officer.

 Beasley Broadcast Philadelphia has named Daniel Hunt program director of Wired 96.5 WRDW-FM in Philadelphia. Most recently, Hunt was program director and midday host of Rhythmic Top 40-formatted WWKX-FM in Providence, R.I.

The World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia has hired Erin P. McNichol as the assistant to the president and director of programs. McNichol had been director for the Office of Protocol and Special Events at Drexel University and manager of alumni relations for the Mid-Atlantic Region at KPMG L.L.P.

Conestoga Bank has announced the appointment of Jennifer Sandner as business-development officer for Chester and Delaware Counties. Sandner, a vice president, had been relationship manager at Conestoga Bank, managing customer relationships and the sales efforts at the bank's Chesterbrook, Chester Springs, and Media branches.

The bank also said Ann E. Foanio had been appointed vice president/relationship manager for the Chesterbrook, Chester Springs, and Media branches. Foanio was formerly a vice president with DNB First, Downingtown.

Joseph DiPalantino & Sons of Huntingdon Valley, a paving-concrete contractor, has hired Andy Karff as director of sales and marketing. He held the same position at Associated Paving Contractors Inc.
