Lydia Hammer has been hired as director of business development of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Hammer had been a partner in the healthcare strategy division of Kurt Salmon Associates Inc.

Kara Callahan has been hired as director of marketing at The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia. She had been regional and national director of marketing at Madison Square Garden Entertainment.

Colliers International, a Philadelphia provider of commercial real estate services across the country, has hired Stephen G. Resinski as senior vice president - management services. Resinski had been vice president/director of management services at Grubb & Ellis Co.

Versify Solutions L.L.C., a Chadds Ford developer of software and services for the power industry, has hired Matt Manzi as vice president of business development. He had been bid manager and vice president of business development at Accenture Ltd.

AAA Mid-Atlantic, Wilmington, has named Susan Meade-Beachell executive director of the Mid-Atlantic Foundation for Safety & Education. Meade-Beachell had been executive director of the Union Hospital Foundation, Elkton, Md.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross has promoted Clifton Salas as chief operating officer. Salas also is a job director for the National American Red Cross deploying to disaster sites around the country. Before his promotion, Salas was director of emergency services for the SEPA Chapter.

The American Heart Association, a Philadelphia nonprofit health-advocacy organization, has hired the following members of its staff:

Jennifer T. Davis has been named senior director, Go Red For Women. She had been senior territory business manager, Mead Johnson Nutrition Co.

Chantelle Fitzgerald has been named director of Go Red For Women. Fitzgerald had been a professional health-care representative at Pfizer Inc.

Andrea Griffith is the business-development director. She had been campaign manager, team in training, at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Corey Hnat is the business-development director. Hnat had been solutions field consultant for Pitney Bowes Inc.

The National Association of Tournament Directors, a Flemington, N.J., association designed to bring together tournament directors of all sports, has named Louise Waxler president and chief executive officer and Mike Chandler as vice president of sports-industry relations. Waxler had been general manager of WPS Philadelphia Independence. Chandler had been with USA Volleyball in Colorado Springs, Colo., where he led all operations for the USA National Team tours, International Tournaments, and the USAV Championship events.

Toll Bros. Inc., the Horsham builder of luxury homes, has appointed Douglas Heppe as vice president of land acquisition. He had been division president for the New Jersey and Michigan regions.

Urban Engineers Inc., Philadelphia, has promoted David A. Steele to vice president. He will continue as the firm's director of structural engineering, with responsibilities for facilities and building systems projects throughout the company.

Robert T. Stroker has been appointed vice provost for the arts at Temple University, where he is also dean of the Boyer College of Music and Dance and interim Dean of the Tyler School of Art.
