Gregory G. Schwab has been named to the board of Philadelphia VIP, a nonprofit legal-services agency that promotes equal justice for the poor by providing civil legal services. He is an associate in commercial litigation and white-collar and government enforcement at Saul Ewing L.L.P.

PAWS, a nonprofit Philadelphia rescue and no-kill animal shelter, has elected the following board members: Robert Huth, chief executive officer and president of David's Bridal Inc.; Veronica Katz, head of marketing and strategy for eBay Inc.; Matthew Canno, partner, director of acquisitions at Iron Stone Strategic Capital Partners; and Randi Rabinowitz, an associate at Spector, Gadon & Rosen P.C.

Mace Security International Inc., of Horsham, maker of pepper spray and surveillance products, has named Daniel V. Perella to its board. He is cofounding partner and the chief operating officer of IdeaStream Consumer Products L.L.C.

Jacqueline M. Reynolds, a shareholder and member of the health-care department at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin P.C., has been named president of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association for the 2012 term. She previously was vice president of the section.

Steven Rosard has been named director of the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic at the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University. The clinic provides students opportunities to work with entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia area who need legal advice to get their ventures off the ground. Rosard is principal of Rosard Law L.L.C. and has counseled start-up and early-stage emerging businesses and angel investors.

Ralf D. Wiedemann has been selected to serve as honorary consul in Philadelphia of the Federal Republic Germany and will oversee all consular services in the tristate area. Wiedemann is a lawyer at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads L.L.P. and specializes in immigration and nationality law.

The Fairmount Park Historic Preservation Trust has elected as president James J Bloom, president of James J Bloom L.L.C. Philip Price Jr., former Fairmount Park Commissioner, was elected vice president; William S. George, president and CEO of Health Partners Inc., was elected treasurer; and Max Berger, president of MBA Equities Ltd., was elected secretary.

Avenue of the Arts Inc., the Philadelphia nonprofit that works to reinvigorate Broad Street, has named Dianne Semingson, president of DSL International Inc., chairwoman of its board. The organization also elected Hahnemann University Hospital CEO Michael Halter and Beech Cos. CEO Kenneth Scott as its new vice chairmen.

The Edna G. Kynett Memorial Foundation Inc., which funds programs focusing on the prevention and cure of cardiovascular disease, has elected Verdi J. DiSesa and Ruth DuBois to its board of trustees. DiSesa is the vice dean for clinical affairs at Temple University School of Medicine and chief operating officer of the Temple University Health System. DuBois is the former chairwoman of the Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell and Pottstown, has elected the following officers to its board: Michael J. D'Aniello, a lawyer and managing member of First Republic Abstract, L.L.C., is chairman. Andrew B. Cantor, retired from Wisler Pearlstein L.L.P., is vice chairman. Regina Lowrie, president of Vision Mortgage Capital, a division of Continental Bank in Plymouth Meeting, is treasurer. Gertrude Mann, former chairwoman of the board and human resources representative for PM Fasteners Inc., is secretary. Lea S. Bramnick, retired executive director of the Macula Vision Research Foundation in Conshohocken, is assistant secretary.

BizEquity L.L.C., an online, cloud-based business-valuation engine and service in Wayne and Woodside, Calif., has named the following officers and board members: Clarence Davis, former chief operating officer and chief financial officer of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is cochairman. Warren V. Musser, founder and CEO of The Musser Group, is cochairman. Board members include: Michael Abbott, a partner at Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield & Byers; Michael T. Peter Madden, president and CEO of AgileCat, a marketing/branding/public relations firm, has been named to the board of the Hamels Foundation, a nonprofit foundation founded by Cole Hamels and his wife, Heidi, that supports inner-city schools and helps orphans with AIDS in Africa.

Three lawyers from the West Chester law firm Gawthrop Greenwood P.C. have been named to serve on the boards of community organizations.

Stacey Fuller, partner in the municipal, land-use, and education department, has been elected to the board of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry.

Patrick M. McKenna, a partner in the municipal, land-use, and education department, has been elected to the board of the Chamber of Commerce of Greater West Chester.

Maureen Mackay Nacey, an associate in the domestic-relations department, has been elected to the board of the Volunteer English Program in Chester County.

Thomas M. Gallagher and Brian M. Katz, partners in the Philadelphia office of Pepper Hamilton L.L.P., have been elected to the executive committee of the law firm. Gallagher is chairman of the firm's white-collar and corporate-investigations practice group. Katz is chairman of the firm's corporate and securities practice group.
