The Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, a nonprofit, business-led civic organization, has elected Rick Altman chair of its board. He is executive vice president and chief risk officer at Radian Group, Philadelphia. Robert J. McNeill, partner-in-charge of the audit practice for the Greater Philadelphia Region at Deloitte, Philadelphia, has been elected vice-chair.

Lance J. Nelson, a senior partner with the Chester County law firm of MacElree Harvey, has been elected treasurer of the West Chester Public Library board.

The Natural Lands Trust, a nonprofit Media land-conservation group, has appointed Penelope P. Watkins to its board of trustees. She is a trustee of People's Light and Theatre Company and of the Curtis Institute of Music who also worked for the United Nations in the office of General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia named Richard J. Green to its board. He is CEO and vice chairman of Firstrust Bank.

Philadelphia VIP, a nonprofit agency that promotes equal justice for the poor by providing civil legal services, has named Stewart J. Eisenberg to its board. He is a founder and senior partner of the law firm Eisenberg, Rothweiler, Winkler, Eisenberg & Jeck, P.C.

William Kettleson, vice president of government and regulatory affairs for Comcast's Freedom Region, has been elected vice chair of the New Jersey Governor's Advisory Council on Volunteerism.

James R. Selsor Jr., a partner at Gunnip & Co. L.L.P., Wilmington, has been named chair of the Salvation Army Delaware Regional Advisory Board.

Matthew Azoulay, a partner at Dilworth Paxson L.L.P., has been appointed a trustee for the Pennsylvania Ballet in Philadelphia.

Nick Staffieri, senior group operations manager with MCS Management Services, has been appointed regional director of the Mail Systems Management Association, a nonprofit professional association.

The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, an independent, nonprofit organization established to advance the civil and human rights of the Jewish people and promote justice for all, has named Judd A. Serotta to its legal advisory board. Serotta is a partner at Blank Rome L.L.P., Philadelphia.

The March of Dimes Pennsylvania Chapter, a nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health, has named William S. George to the state chapter board of directors. He is president and CEO at Health Partners of Philadelphia.

Three new members have recently been appointed to the Temple University board of trustees: Dennis Alter, former chairman and chief executive of Advanta Corp.; Edward Rudolph, a lawyer; and Jay Shah, CEO of the Hersha Hospitality Trust and a member of its board. All three have degrees from the university.

Gerard J. Criner has been named chairman of the department of medicine at Temple University School of Medicine. Criner, longtime director of pulmonary and critical-care medicine, and director of the Temple Lung Center, succeeds Jose Missri, who had been interim chairman.

The Philadelphia History Museum at the Atwater Kent has elected the following to its board of trustees: Stephen Mullin, senior vice president and principal at Econsult Corp.; Eugene Lefevre, president of Rampart Holdings; and Robert Baron, partner and vice chairman of the intellectual-property department at Ballard Spahr. Gary Steuer, chief cultural officer of the City of Philadelphia Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, has joined as an ex-officio member.
