Ex-Sunoco CEO named to Baker Hughes board

Lynn L. Elsenhans, the former Sunoco Inc. chief executive who oversaw the company’s transformation that prepared the company to be sold, was appointed Monday to the board of directors of the Baker Hughes Inc., the Houston oilfield services company.

Lynn L. Elsenhans, the former Sunoco Inc. chief executive who oversaw the company's transformation that prepared the company to be sold, was appointed Monday to the board of directors of the Baker Hughes Inc., the Houston oilfield services company.

The appointment is the second corporate board that has invited Elsenhans to join it since she retired May 2 as chairwoman of Sunoco, the Philadelphia oil company whose sale to Energy Transfer Partners was announced on April 30. Elsenhas, 56, has also been named to the board of GlaxoSmithKline, the British pharmaceutical giant.
