Alba Martinez, a principal in the retail-investor group at Vanguard, has been elected to the board of governors of Main Line Health, Bryn Mawr.

Pennsylvania Association for Justice, formerly the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, has elected workers' compensation lawyer Jerry Lehocky president. He is founding partner of Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, Philadelphia.

Matt Wilson, a partner at Martin L.L.C., Philadelphia, has been named chair-elect of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The section is dedicated to the continued improvement of practice and legislation of all forms of workers' compensation and employers' liability law.

Eileen Martinson has been named chair of Philadelphia University's board of trustees. Martinson is chief executive officer of Sparta Systems Inc., Hamilton.

Angelique Kuchta, a shareholder in the real estate practice group at Sherman Silverstein, Moorestown, has been appointed to the board of consultors for the New Jersey State Bar Association's Real Property Trust and Estate Law Section.

Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens, Devon, a nonprofit public botanical garden, has elected John Fischer president. He is a retired attorney with Drinker, Biddle & Reath. Other new board members are: William Thomsen, senior vice president with Urban Engineers Inc.; Percival Moser, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Metro Bank; Henry Bryans, an attorney and senior vice president and executive director at Aon Corp.; and Pete Moscufo, a licensed design- and construction-industry practitioner and registered landscape architect with TruGreen Land Care L.L.C.

The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers elected the following board officers and members: Annette Reyman, owner of All Right Organizing L.L.C., president; Debbie Lillard, owner of Space to Spare, vice president; Jackie Mangasarian, owner of Common Sense Organizing, treasurer; Ellen Tozzi, owner of Natural Order, secretary; Kathy Luskus, owner of Orderly Manor Organizing, immediate past president; Gabrielle Watters-Smith, owner of Red Button Organizing, communications and technology director; Daniel Loya, owner of Spaces Transformed, marketing director; Barbara Siegel, owner of Kerlavage Enterprises, membership director; and Carla Shipman, owner of DeClutter Enterprise L.L.C., professional-development director.

The Library Company of Philadelphia, a nonprofit research library founded by Benjamin Franklin, has elected the following to its board of trustees: Rebecca W. Bushnell, professor of English at the University of Pennsylvania and former dean of the School of Arts and Sciences; Michael Mann, a founding partner of Mann Mann Jensen Partners L.P.; Randall M. Miller, professor of history at St. Joseph's University; Nicholas D. Constan Jr., a teacher in the department of legal studies and business ethics at the Wharton School; John F. Meigs, a partner at Saul Ewing L.L.P.; and Stephen P. Mullin, a principal at Econsult Corp.

University City Science Center, Philadelphia, has elected the following board members: William J. Marrazzo, president and chief executive officer of WHYY Inc.; Keith A. Orris, senior vice president for corporate relations and economic development at Drexel University; and Stephen Spinelli Jr., president of Philadelphia University. David P. Holveck, who has served on the Science Center board since 2003, was elected its first director emeritus.

David F. Stern, partner at the workers' compensation and Social Security disability firm of Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, Philadelphia, has been appointed to the board of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association.

The American Immigration Lawyers Association, San Francisco, has elected William A. Stock second vice president. He is a founding partner of Klasko, Rulon, Stock & Seltzer L.L.P., Philadelphia.

Robert F. Firely Jr. has been named president of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a partner in charge of Herbein + Co. Inc.'s accounting and auditing department in Reading. Jerry J. Maginnis has been elected president-elect. He is managing partner for KPMG's Philadelphia office.

Michael W. Weaver, associate professor of neurosurgery at the Temple University School of Medicine, has been appointed chair of the department of neurosurgery. He has served as interim chair of the department since August 2012 and was selected after a national search.
