The Pennsylvania Bankers Association, a Harrisburg industry-trade group, named the following to its board: Elijiah L. Gray, chief financial officer and chief operating officer at MileStone Bank, Doylestown, is Deposit Category "A" representative; Timothy J. Abell, president of Firstrust Savings Bank, Conshohocken, is Deposit Category "C" representative; K. Leon Moyer, president and chief executive officer of Univest Bank & Trust Co., Souderton, is PBA Group 2 representative; and Christina S. McDonald, executive vice president and chief retail banking officer of VIST Bank, Wyomissing, is at-large representative.
Waldron Mercy Academy, a Catholic coeducational, private elementary school sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy in Merion Station, named the following members to its board of trustees: Kim Baxter, chair and teacher in the social-studies department and director of the Mercy Volunteer Program at Merion Mercy Academy; Marissa Cherian, global director, management consulting recruitment at Accenture; Beth Delaney, gift-planning director, University of Pennsylvania Office of Gift Planning; Marcia Penn-Cummings, research center administrator, University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Center for Health Equity Research; and Judith Smith, a doctor with Catholic Clinical Consultants who maintains a private psychology practice.
The Engineers' Club of Philadelphia, a professional group founded in 1877, elected Christopher J. Menna, engineer of design, assistant to the chief bridge engineer, Department of Streets, City of Philadelphia, secretary, and Lawrence Dibor, president at Adcon Consultants Inc., treasurer.
The following were named to the board: Harry P. Wilson, a civil engineer with the Philadelphia Streets Department, Division of Surveys, Design and Construction; Lydia Kokolskyj, director of development and alumni relations at Penn State Abington; and Peter M. Silverberg, retired associate editor of BioPharm International.
Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce elected the following officers: Leon Singletary, president of First Contact HR, Fort Washington, president; W. Russell Koerwer, president of Chelten Hills Savings Bank, Abington, first vice president. Michael G. Cohen, president of Situs Properties, Fort Washington, second vice president; Kent Keith, a financial adviser at Morgan Stanley in Blue Bell, third vice president. Charles K. Harmar, managing director of US Realty Capital, secretary, and Martin G. Kalos, partner at Kalos, Liu & Com. L.L.C., Jenkintown, is treasurer.
Presbyterian Children's Village, a nonprofit human-services organization in Rosemont, elected the following officers: Elizabeth S. Gadsden, former social worker and supervisor of adolescent services with the Bucks County Children and Youth Social Services Agency, chair; Paula Bedi, an independent organization development and strategic planning consultant, vice chair; Joanne Markman, a Spanish teacher at the Gateway School, secretary; R. Scott Latimer, a principal with PwC L.L.P., Philadelphia, is treasurer, and Maris Ogg, president and a founder of Tower Bridge Advisers, is assistant treasurer.

Lisa A. Shearman, an attorney with Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin P.C. has been elected to the board of the Legal Clinic for the Disabled Inc., an organization that provides free legal services to low-income people with physical disabilities and to the deaf and hard of hearing in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties.
Tony Frick, vice president and general counsel at Diversified Search, was appointed to the board of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Eastern Pennsylvania.
Jennifer J. Riley, owner of Jennifer J. Riley P.L.L.C. in Blue Bell, was appointed to the executive council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Commission on Women in the Profession and will serve as a cochair of the Promotion of Women Committee for the 2013-14 year.
Rebuilding Together Philadelphia, an independent affiliate of a national network focused on preserving affordable homeownership and assisting older adults, military veterans, and multigenerational families with critical home repair projects, elected the following board members:
Andrew Gillespie, chief engineer of SEPTA; Catherine Gray, senior director of the Comcast Assurance and Advisory Team; Andrew B. Lash, society of former agents of the FBI; Kathleen Maloney, claim executive at International Fidelity Insurance Co., and Barrett Robinson, former senior vice president of operations for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
George W. Bodenger, chair of the health practice at Saul Ewing L.L.P., was appointed to the board of trustees for Peter's Place, a nonprofit grief support center for children and their families in Radnor.
The American Bar Association Tax Section elected Stewart M. Weintraub of Chamberlain Hrdlicka as its 2013-2014 council director. He is in private practice at Chamberlain Hrdlicka, Philadelphia, and was chief of tax litigation for the City of Philadelphia's Law Department where he also served as chief counsel of the Mayor's Tax Reform Commission.
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Chester, elected James T. Harris 3d treasurer. He is president of Widener University.
Stacey Willits McConnell, a partner at Lamb McErlane P.C., and chair of its trusts and estates department, was appointed to the board of trustees of Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square.
Philadelphia area plaintiff's attorney Michael Shaffer, of Shaffer & Gaier, Philadelphia, was appointed to the board of the Bala House Montessori School in Bala Cynwyd.
Founder and principal of Tobolsky Law in Cherry Hill, William H. Tobolsky, was named president-elect of the Cherry Hill Rotary.
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House, a nonprofit that provides temporary housing and supportive services to families while their children receive critical medical care, elected Steven Kerley, vice president and general manager, Philadelphia Region of McDonald's USA L.L.C., to its board of directors.
