Campbell announces dividend increase

Campbell Soup Co., of Camden, said it increased its quarterly dividend to 31.2 cents per share, from 29 cents per share.

It is the first dividend increase under CEO Denise Morrison, who assumed office in August 2011.

The company last raised its dividend in November 2010.

The new dividend is payable Oct. 28 to shareholder of record Oct. 8, Campbell said. - Reid Kanaley
