Mannington adding jobs in Georgia

Mannington Mills Inc., a flooring manufacturer based in Salem County, announced the expansion of a factory in Madison, Ga., that will add 219 jobs over the next few years. The plant now employs 60.

During the same period, Mannington, which was founded in 1915 and is in its fourth generation of family ownership, will invest $50 million in Georgia, according to a news release from Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal.

Mannington already employs nearly 700 in Georgia, including other sites, the company said. It has about 500 employees in Salem. - Harold Brubaker
