Aqua America Inc., Bryn Mawr, appointed Michael Browne to its board of directors. He is president and chief operating officer of Harleysville Insurance, a Nationwide Insurance company.

John F. Salveson has been elected to the vice chair of the board of Philadelphia public broadcaster WHYY. He is co-founder and principal of Salveson Stetson Group.

Subcontractors Association of Delaware Valley named the following officers and members to its board: Jerry Moser, director of sales at R.A. Kennedy & Sons, president; Michael Stuhltrager, audit manager of CBIZ MHM L.L.C., treasurer; and John V. Giovinazzo, president of General Masonry & Restoration Inc., vice president.

The Economy League of Greater Philadelphia, a nonprofit, business-led civic organization, elected the following members to its board: Judith Gay, interim president of Community College of Philadelphia; Jay E. Kagan, partner and executive committee member at Philadelphia law firm Dilworth Paxson L.L.P.; John V. Touey, principal at Salveson Stetson Group, Radnor; Kathy Heilig, chief accounting officer, controller, at SEI Investments Co., Oaks, and Peter Gudritz, director, Northeast public affairs and government affairs, at Dow Chemical Co., Philadelphia.

Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia appointed Alan Sandals, principal of Sandals & Associates P.C., and Richard Pasquier, assistant general counsel at FMC Corp., to its board of directors.

Airports Council International - North America, a leading global aviation organization, named Philadelphia International Airport CEO Mark Gale to its board.

UMH Properties Inc., a real estate investment trust specializing in manufactured-home communities, named Matthew I. Hirsch to its board. He is an attorney in private practice in Wayne.

Philadelphia Young Playwrights, a nonprofit whose mission is to "inspire learning through playwriting," named the following board members: Paul Lancaster Adams, managing shareholder in the Philadelphia office of Ogletree Deakins; Andrew B. Comerford, principal of North Highland, and Ilene Blitzstein Poses, a retired educator.

Named board fellows were Dan Clay and Peter Mastriano. Clay is an MBA candidate at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Mastriano is MBA candidate at Fox School of Business, Temple University.

Thomas D. Rees has been elected president of the board of Main Line Art Center, Haverford. He is an attorney at High Swartz L.L.P., Norristown.

CADEKids, a behavior-development organization in Philadelphia, named Isla L. Long to its board. She is a partner with Pepper Hamilton L.L.P., Philadelphia.

Overbrook School for the Blind, Philadelphia, named the following to its board of managers: Sidney D. Rosenblatt, executive vice president, chief financial officer, treasurer and secretary of Universal Display Corp., and educator Vincent McVeigh. The following were named to the school's development committee: Carolyn L.
