Karen Grafje, director, compensation/VWR International L.L.C., has been named to the board of the Main Line Art Center HR Committee.
Nancy Gilboy, president and CEO of the International Visitors Council, has been named to the board of Friends of Independence National Historical Park.
Hannah Brown, business manager for the office of the vice president of Teachers College-Columbia University, has been named to the board of the J. Lewis Crozer Library.
The Pennsylvania Medical Society elected Walter M. Klein, an anatomic/clinical pathology specialist from Bryn Mawr, to a four-year term as the at-large specialties trustee. Sherry L. Blumenthal, an obstetrician/gynecologist from Willow Grove, will serve a four-year term as the Obstetrics/Gynecology trustee.
Saint Joseph's Academy of Food Marketing appointed David E. Dudick and Julie Murphy to its board. Dudick is senior vice president, president of Convenience & Foodservice Division for General Mills and Murphy is senior vice president of New England Operations for Walmart.
The International Visitors Council of Philadelphia, the region's official international relations organization which is a public/private partnership with the U.S. Department of State and the City of Philadelphia, has elected Vail Garvin, executive director, Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, and Elizabeth G. Litten, partner at Fox Rothchild L.L.P., to its board.
The Schuylkill River Development Corp., a nonprofit group working to revitalize the tidal Schuylkill River, elected Joseph McGinn to its board. McGinn is senior manager of public affairs for Sunoco. It also elected Keith Orris, senior vice president at Drexel University a board member.
These board members were reelected: Amy Gutmann, president, University of Pennsylvania; James Tucker, senior vice president at Drexel University; Karen Smith, senior associate at Xerox; and Rina Cutler, deputy mayor for transportation and utilities.
William Kettleson has been named to the Cooper's Ferry Partnership board of directors. Kettleson is regional vice president of government and community affairs for Comcast's Freedom Region which serves Greater Philadelphia, New Jersey and Northern Delaware.
Blenda J. Riddick has been appointed to the board of trustees of the Alice Paul Institute, a nonprofit Mount Laurel organization that educates the public about New Jersey suffragist Alice Stokes Paul. Riddick is director of corporate and government affairs for United Airlines.

Attorney Frank D. Allen of Archer & Greiner P.C. in Haddonfield has been appointed chair of the New Jersey State Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
