Congreso de Latinos Unidos Inc., Philadelphia, has elected Carolina Cabrera DiGiorgio chair. She is an attorney at Stradley Ronon and is a member of its business practice group and Spain and Latin America practice groups. She succeeds Ken Trujillo, a partner at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis L.L.P., who served the group in that role for 24 years.

Joanne B. Szupka was elected president of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Szupka is a senior manager specializing in employee benefit plans and Employee Retirement Income Security Act services with BDO USA L.L.P. in Philadelphia.

The Racquet Club of Philadelphia, a sport and social organization founded in 1889, has elected Edward Seglias president. He is shareholder and vice president of Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman P.C.

The following officers also were named: Stewart Keener, owner of Baggataway Tavern, vice president and chair of food and beverage; Courtney Disston, director of executive talent acquisition at Aramark, secretary; Doug Cox, chief financial officer of Primus Green Energy, treasurer; Jake Van Roden, vice president of Delaware Investments, athletics chair; Peter Vogt, attorney at law, house chair; Daniel Gonzalez, project manager with Odessa Technologies, membership chair; and Sydney Waldron, director of marketing/brand manager at Cot'n Wash Inc., entertainment chair.

The Untold Foundation, a nonprofit provider of suicide-prevention, mental-health wellness, and concussion-education programs to the region's youth, has elected the following board officers: Graham Thomas, CEO of Concierge Insurance Service Inc., president; Catherine Wallendal-Thomas, an elementary-education teacher, vice president; Shari Kumpf, a homemaker and community volunteer, secretary; Christopher Wallendal, founder and co-CEO of Mamba GaGa L.L.C., treasurer.

Board members include: Diane Schott, owner of CenterStageKitchens.com and a PR consultant for RestoringVision.org, and Cristi Landigran, a community volunteer and homemaker.

The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine has appointed Lawrence Otis Graham and Hope Gittis Sheft to its board of overseers. Graham is special counsel at Cuddy & Feder. Sheft had been vice president of Classic Revlon Skincare and Color Cosmetics and vice president of the Revlon Foundation.

The Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group, an active networking and professional-development organization, has named the following officers: Rip Tilden, partner at Makarios Consulting, chairman; Eric David, president of TEAM David Associates L.L.C., vice chair; Ann McNally, managing principal of ACM Advisors L.L.C., treasurer; and Dorothy Stubblebine, managing principal of DJS Associates, secretary.

Daniel J. Rader, a recognized international leader in the human genetics of lipoprotein biology and cardiovascular disease, has been named the new chair of the Department of Genetics in the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been a faculty member at Penn for 20 years and is currently the chief of the Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics and the Edward S. Cooper M.D./Norman Roosevelt and Elizabeth Meriwether McLure Professor of Medicine.

The State Senate has confirmed Gov. Corbett's nomination of Elizabeth Preate Havey to the board of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority. She is of counsel in the public finance group at Dilworth Paxson L.L.P., Philadelphia.

Gary M. Schildhorn, a partner in the Philadelphia office of national law firm Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott L.L.C., has been appointed to the board of Kids Smile, a not-for-profit group that provides dental care and health education to thousands of children in Philadelphia and Washington.

Steven S. Bradley, chairman of the African-American Chamber of Commerce of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, has been named to the board of Philadelphia City Rowing, a nonprofit that seeks to empower Philadelphia public-school students through the sport of rowing.

Widener University's College of Arts and Sciences named the founding members of an advisory board to support, direct, and promote the Communication Studies Program, housed in the university's newest academic building, Freedom Hall.

Daniel G. Snyder, a member of the workers' compensation group at White & Williams L.L.P., has been appointed a workers' compensation judge by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Workers' Compensation Office of Adjudication.
