Golden Nugget executive suspended
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement suspended Thomas Pohlman, the top executive at Atlantic City's Golden Nugget Hotel Casino, for three days without pay and ordered the company to pay a $30,000 fine for improperly terminating the casino's director of surveillance and allowing its chief gaming officer to oversee those responsibilities.

The gambling regulators, in an order dated Sept. 22, also ordered Pohlman and other Golden Nugget personnel to undergo training on rules governing casinos' surveillance and audit operations.
