The Delaware River Marine Trade Association, Philadelphia, has promoted Gina M. Petrille from director of operations to vice president. The group, which promotes the interest of the ports of Delaware, Southern New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania, said this marks the first time a female employee has been made an officer of the organization since it began operations in 1947.

Wistar Institute, Philadelphia, has appointed Heather A. Steinman vice president for business development and executive director, technology transfer. She will lead Wistar's technology commercialization activities, including licensing, start-ups, and collaborative research and development partnerships, and advance its growing pipeline of biomedical research discoveries. Steinman had been director of the Penn Center for Innovation, Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Comcast-Spectacor, Philadelphia, has promoted Bryan Furey to senior vice president, front-row marketing services, the division that helps sports teams and facilities acquire naming rights and sponsorships and performs sponsor analytics. He had been regional vice president of front-row marketing services since 2009.
