Wulfsohn steps down at Carpenter Technology

William A. Wulfsohn, 52, will step down as president and chief executive officer of specialty steel maker Carpenter Technology Corp. of Wyomissing.

Wulfsohn was named to become CEO and chairman of Kentucky-based chemical maker Ashland Inc.

Carpenter chairman Gregory A. Pratt, who served as Carpenter's CEO in 2009-2010, prior to Wulfsohn, will return to the post. The transitions are effective Jan. 1.
