Spark Therapeutics L.L.C., a Philadelphia company developing gene-based medicines for debilitating diseases, has named Rogerio Vivaldi chief commercial officer. Vivaldi, former head of rare diseases at Genzyme, a Sanofi company, and former CEO of Minerva Neurosciences, has served as a board member at Spark since April 2014. At Minerva Neurosciences, he led the development of a portfolio of innovative product candidates addressing neuropsychiatric diseases and the successful completion of an initial public offering.
