The Biotechnology Industry Organization, a Philadelphia nonprofit trade group, has elected Ron Cohen as board chair for the 2015-16 term. He is president and CEO of Acorda Therapeutics. He is president and CEO of Acorda Therapeutics. Additionally, Deborah Dunsire, president and CEO of Forum Pharmaceuticals, has been elected secretary and Dan Junius, president and CEO of ImmunoGen, has been reelected treasurer.
Pennoni, a Philadelphia multidiscipline engineering, science, and design consulting firm, has named Joseph M. Torsella to its board. He is former ambassador to the United Nations for management and reform and was the founding president and two-term CEO of the National Constitution Center.
The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Philadelphia, has elected Julius C. Green president. He is the first African American president in its 118-year history. Green is a partner with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause L.L.P. in Philadelphia.

Nutrisystem Inc., Fort Washington, has elected Michael D. Mangan to its board and named him chair of the Audit Committee. Mangan currently serves as the lead director at McCormick & Co. and had been president of worldwide power tools and accessories at Black & Decker Corp.
Retired Judge Stephanie H. Klein has joined the ADR Options panel of neutrals after serving as the magisterial district judge in Media, Delaware County, for 18 years. ADR Options is a regional firm based in Philadelphia devoted to alternative dispute resolution. She will concentrate her practice on commercial/business, employment, personal injury, real estate, and elder law matters.
Team Pennsylvania Foundation's board of directors elected Stephen S. Tang, president and CEO of the University City Science Center, as Private Sector cochair. The Harrisburg-based foundation is a private nonprofit business group that promotes the state.
Philadelphia Chapter of the National Organization for Women, a feminist advocacy group, has appointed Steve Paul to its board and as vice president of membership. He is the first male to be named an officer. He is a conflicts analyst at Dechert L.L.P.
Timothy P. Walbert has been elected chairman of Egalet Corp., a Wayne-based specialty pharmaceutical company. Walbert is chairman, president, and CEO of Horizon Pharma P.L.C. Jean-Francois Formela, partner of Atlas Ventures who has been the chair of the Egalet board since March 2012, will remain a director of the board.
The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, America's first school of fine arts and museum, founded in 1805, has elected the following resident trustees: Joseph D. Culley Jr., co-head, investment banking, at Janney Montgomery Scott; Pia Halloran is a longtime member of the Women's Board of PAFA, who has served in fund-raising leadership role events including the Community of Cancer Support Fashion Show, the Consular Corps Gala, and the Art After Dark Committee at the Philadelphia Museum of Art; and J. Brien Murphy, a retired surgeon and professor at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine, department of plastic surgery.
Named national trustees are: Reginald Browne, senior managing director and head of ETF trading at the global financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald L.P. in New York, and Kenneth Woodcock, a former executive of the AES Corp., Virginia, who retired as senior vice president in 2004. The new ex-oficio member is: Helen Haynes, chief cultural officer for Philadelphia's Office of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy.
