Leadership Philadelphia, which helps place corporate and nonprofit professionals on area nonprofit boards, has named the following members to its board: Sheila Hess, director of foundation programs and community affairs at Independence Blue Cross; Joe Linnehan, senior manager at Vanguard; Tom O'Connor, director of internal audit at Urban Outfitters; Bob Steinke, senior vice president at Janney; and Mary Stitt, procurement commissioner for the City of Philadelphia.

The Library Company of Philadelphia, a nonprofit research library founded by Benjamin Franklin, has elected Charles P. Keates to its board of trustees. Keates is a partner, chief counsel, and general compliance officer at Veritable L.P.

The Forum of Executive Women, a membership organization of more than 450 women that works to increase the number of women in leadership roles and expand their influence, has elected Suzanne S. Mayes president for a two-year term. She is chair of public and project finance at Cozen O'Connor, Philadelphia.

George Martin, founding partner of Martin Law in Philadelphia, was elected chair of the board of trustees for Earthjustice, the world's largest nonprofit environmental law firm.

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra has elected Joseph F. DiMauro chairman, succeeding Frank Giordano. He is owner of Horsham Veterinary Hospital P.C. Carl S. Primavera, partner and chair of Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg, LLP, Zoning and Land Use Group, has been elected as a trustee. - Mike Zebe
