Philly: A Fair-Trade City

By City Council resolution on Oct. 15, Philadelphia became a Fair Trade Town, the 43d in the United States.

The designation means the city has met various criteria, including having a coalition that meets regularly and plans interactive events that promote advocacy and engagement with fair trade, and assuring that fair-trade products are available in local stores, schools, and offices.
