Madeline Bell, president and CEO of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, has been elected vice chair and chair-elect of the board of trustees of the Children's Hospital Association. The association represents 200 children's hospitals by advancing child health through innovation in the quality, cost, and delivery of care.

Christopher D. Ball, a partner with Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, L.L.P., Bala Cynwyd, has joined the Policy Committee of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia.

Eric Schreiner, a partner in Kleinbard L.L.C.'s litigation department and practice leader of the firm's employment group, has been named to the Philadelphia Leadership Council of the American Red Cross.

Thomas J. Todorow has joined the board of the University City Science Center, Philadelphia. Todorow is executive vice president for corporate services and the chief financial officer at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Gaetano Piccirilli, a partner in the litigation department of Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg L.L.P., has been elected chairman of the Caring People Alliance (formerly, the Crime Prevention Association), including the Liberty Bell Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia. In addition to the Boys and Girls Club, the Caring People Alliance operates three community centers in Philadelphia, the Marconi Older Adults program, family and parenting services, child care information services, the Caring Paws program, and day care, after care, preschool/kindergarten, and summer camp programming.

The asset management company Resource America Inc., Philadelphia, has appointed Richard Reiss Jr. to its board. Reiss is chairman of Georgica Advisors and its affiliated entities, Reiss Capital Management and Value Insight Partners. The company specializes in real estate and credit investment.

Rachel E. Lusk has been elected to the board of trustees of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Autism Resource Center and has joined the Emerging Leaders Committee of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry. She is an attorney at Lamb McErlane P.C.

Michael S. Bowman, president and CEO of the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board, has been appointed chairman of the board of Community Assistance of Upper Merion Township. The group provides grants to organizations that serve Upper Merion residents and to award scholarships for high school seniors from Upper Merion Township.

Carrie Collins, chief advancement officer at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, has joined the editorial board of the Journal of Education Advancement & Marketing. - Mike Zebe
