People on the Move: Conner Strong & Buckelew hires executive

Alexander F. Buzbee has been hired as business-development executive at insurance brokerage firm Conner Strong & Buckelew, Philadelphia and Marlton. Buzbee, a defensive lineman for the Washington Redskins from 2007 to 2009, most recently served as a marketing and sales representative at Federated Insurance in Boston.

Alexander F. Buzbee has been hired as business-development executive at insurance brokerage firm Conner Strong & Buckelew, Philadelphia and Marlton. Buzbee, a defensive lineman for the Washington Redskins from 2007 to 2009, most recently served as a marketing and sales representative at Federated Insurance in Boston.

Nancy Descano has joined the nonprofit Partnership for the Delaware Estuary as its deputy executive director. Descano had been interim chief financial officer for the Latin American Community Center in Wilmington, after 11 years as Blood Bank of Delmarva's financial controller. Lorestine Pittman, former chief development and communications officer for the Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle, has been named coordinator of grants.    Spencer Roberts has been promoted to science fellow after serving as an intern for one year. Kaitlin Tucker has been named the organization's first monitoring fellow. Tucker earned a master's degree in marine studies at the University of Delaware, where she researched the services wetlands provide.

Philadelphia law firm Caesar Rivise P.C. has named Lynn M. Terrebonne a partner. Terrebonne had been a partner at KB Ash Law Group in Pleasanton Calif. and an associate with Caesar Rivise from 2003 until 2006.

Capehart Scatchard, Mount Laurel, has hired Dana M. Gayeski as an associate in its workers' compensation department. He represents insurance carriers and employers in the defense of workers' compensation claims at all stages of litigation.

Villanova University has named Mark C. Alexander the Arthur J. Kania Dean of the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. A scholar and teacher specializing in constitutional law and the intersection of law and politics, Alexander had been associate dean for academics and professor at Seton Hall University School of Law. He replaces John Yukio Gotanda, who was named president of Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu.

AmeriQuest Business Services, Cherry Hill, provider of financial process automation, procurement, and asset-management services, has named Sean Bliss as director of products and services. He previously worked with Hertz Corp. in its Florida operations.

Genesis HealthCare, Kennett Square, a post-acute care provider, has named Stephen Saville president of CareerStaff Unlimited, a subsidiary that provides healthcare staffing and workforce solutions for hospital systems, health-care organizations and school systems across the country. He had been executive vice president and general counsel for OGH L.L.C.

Furia Rubel Communications Inc., a Doylestown integrated marketing and public-relations agency, has hired Karen Preston-Loeb as project manager. She had been senior account executive with Hanlon Creative in Kulpsville.

Electronic Ink, a Philadelphia research and design consultancy, has hired James Moustafellos as design practice lead. He had been an assistant professor of management information systems at the Fox School of Business, Temple University, and co-founder and associate director of the Center for Design+Innovation.

James M. Nemecek has been hired as director of compliance at Penn Community Bank, a Doylestown mutual financial organization. He had been director of compliance at Accume Partners.

Volpe and Koenig P.C., an intellectual-property law firm with offices in Philadelphia and Princeton, has hired Joshua A. Hamberger, Michael Maicher, and Katherine R. Vieyra as associates and Neha Mehta as marketing strategist. Hamberger was previously an associate at Patterson & Sheridan L.L.P. Maicher had been a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Vieyra had been an associate at Scully Scott Murphy & Presser P.C. Mehta received her J.D./M.B.A. from Drexel University and her bachelor of arts in political science from Rhodes College

Shaw Fishman Glantz & Towbin L.L.C., Wilmington, has hired bankruptcy attorney Thomas M. Horan. He had practiced in the Wilmington office of Womble Carlyle.

Taylor A. Smith has joined Kaplin Stewart in Blue Bell as an associate in the estate and trusts group. Smith had been an associate in the trusts and estates department at Dilworth Paxson L.L.P. in Center City.

Krista Niles has been hired as marketing and outreach coordinator for the Alice Paul Institute, a Mount Laurel nonprofit dedicated to teaching girls about leadership and equality and educating the public about New Jersey suffragist Alice Paul. Niles is a Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer and a longtime photojournalist and photography educator.

Bryn Mawr Bank Corp., parent of Bryn Mawr Trust Co., has hired Ronald Bahn as assistant vice president, SBA portfolio manager. He had been a banking officer and corporate banking senior associate underwriter for PNC Bank in Philadelphia.

Cigna Global Health Benefits, Wilmington, has appointed Neil Irwin head of global distribution. He had been managing director at Marsh.
