The Philly Ad Club has elected the following members to serve as the executive committee for the 2016-17 service year: Bernie Prazenica, president and general manager of WPVI-TV/6ABC in Philadelphia, is president; Jill Deardorff, president and CEO at Deardorff Associates and Deardorff Digital, is chair; Paul Muller, president of the Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association, is first vice presient; Amy Shearer, chief marketing officer at the Philadelphia Zoo, is second vice president; Rob MacPherson, director of corporate partnership for the Phillies, is third vice president; Susan Buehler, executive vice president at Bellevue Communications Group, is secretary; Amy Buckman, manager of public relations and special events at Philadelphia Media Network, publisher of the Inquirer, the Daily News, and Philly.com, is treasurer; and Brian Monahan, president of Comcast SportsNet, is vice president, legal.

Axalta Coating Systems, a Philadelphia provider of liquid and powder coatings, has named Mark Garrett to its board. He is chairman of the executive committee and CEO of Borealis AG in Vienna, Austria.

Daniel Fidalgo Tomé has been named chair-elect of the 2016-17 national steering committee of the American Democracy Project, which focuses on higher education's role in preparing civically engaged citizens, with 250 participating colleges and universities from 48 states and Puerto Rico. Tomé is director of service learning at Stockton University.

The Joseph Fund, a Camden-based nonprofit fund-raising entity dedicated to supporting the missions of six Camden organizations that provide educational opportunities, permanent housing solutions for lower-income individuals, and solutions to end homelessness for those willing to receive a hand up., has named Michael V. Madden to its board. He is a partner with Madden & Madden P.A., Haddonfield.

James J. Ferrelli, a partner at Duane Morris L.L.P., Cherry Hill, has been appointed a trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, the charitable and educational arm of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Adam V. Orlacchio has been elected chair of the Delaware State Bar Association's Litigation Section. He maintains a national litigation practice with Blank Rome L.L.P.

Susan Buehler, executive vice president of Bellevue Communications Group, Philadelphia, has been accepted into the Forum of Executive Women, the region's premier women's leadership organization.

Duane Morris L.L.P. partner John A. Nixon, of the firm's Philadelphia office, has been selected for membership to the Executive Leadership Council, an organization for the development of global African American corporate leaders.

Charles S. Marion, a partner in the commercial litigation and intellectual-property litigation practice groups of Pepper Hamilton L.L.P. in Philadelphia, was named president of the Chestnut Hill Community Fund. The fund raises money to support the efforts of the Chestnut Hill Community Association and other non-profits that serve the community.

Presby's Inspired Life, a Lafayette Hill-based provider of continuing care and affordable housing for seniors, has named Brian M. Duke to a three-year term on its board. He is system director of senior services for Main Line Health.

Glenn S. Gitomer, chair of the litigation department and shareholder of McCausland Keen & Buckman, has been appointed chairman of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's Discovery Task Force. Established in 2011 by FINRA Dispute Resolution, the Discovery Task Force is comprised of a select group of attorneys who represent claimants and the securities industry in FINRA arbitrations. It considers discovery issues that arise during the course of FINRA arbitrations and makes recommendations to improve the discovery process.

Montgomery McCracken partner Louis R. Moffa Jr. has been installed as the 90th president of the Camden County Bar Association. He is the firm's general counsel and is a member of several practice groups, including the commercial litigation group, the construction law group, the immigration group, and the employment counseling and litigation group.
