Pennsylvania Ballet has elected the following to its board of trustees: Irina Wilson Gage, founder and president of I.M. Wilson Inc., which imports, manufactures, markets, and distributes dancewear and pointe shoes; Eileen Kennedy, who is retired from the practice of law; and Gina Montana, vice president and investment adviser at Goldman Sachs & Co.

Pennsylvania Ballet has elected the following to its board of trustees: Irina Wilson Gage, founder and president of I.M. Wilson Inc., which imports, manufactures, markets, and distributes dancewear and pointe shoes; Eileen Kennedy, who is retired from the practice of law; and Gina Montana, vice president and investment adviser at Goldman Sachs & Co.

Joseph P. Costabile has been installed as the 224th president of the Medical Society of New Jersey, succeeding Steven Berkowitz. A board-certified general and vascular surgeon, Costabile has practiced with Virtua Surgical Group, Cherry Hill. He is a captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve Medical Corps and deployed twice to the Middle East. Costabile continues to serve at the rank of captain in the 4th Medical Battalion under the 4th Marine Logistics Group, located at the Joint Base McGuire/Dix/Lakehurst. His father, Douglas M. Costabile, served as president of the organization in 1990.

The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, has elected the following to its board of trustees: Annie Duke, an author, public speaker, and decision strategist who was awarded a National Science Foundation fellowship to study cognitive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania; Yvette D. Bright, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Independence Blue Cross; Andrea Anania Stewart, former executive vice president and chief information officer of CIGNA Corp.; Elaine C. Levitt, a longtime member of Philadelphia's philanthropic community who with her late husband, Joel Gershman, established the Joel and Elaine Levitt Gershman Foundation; and Luiz Vieira, president and managing director of EMD Performance Materials Corp., a division of Merck KGaA.

The Board of Governors of the Civil War Museum of Philadelphia, the nation's oldest such museum, has elected Marc Policarpo to its board. He is senior vice president of Binswanger Companies. Mark E. Bender, a retired business executive, has been elected chair.

Philadelphia Facilities Management Corp., a nonprofit that oversees Philadelphia Gas Works, has elected the following board members: Seth Shapiro, chief operating officer of the Goldenberg Group; James Engler, deputy mayor for policy and legislation for the City of Philadelphia; Albert Mezzaroba, an attorney with Genova Burns; Catherine Paster, Philadelphia's first deputy finance director; Louis Rodriguez, president of Rodriguez Consulting L.L.C.; Marian Tasco, a former City Council member; and Leigh Whitaker, vice president of communications for SugarHouse Casino.

Wistar Institute, a West Philadelphia nonprofit specializing in basic biomedical research with a focus on cancer and vaccines, has named Susan B. Dillon to its board of trustees. She is global therapeutic area head, immunology, for Janssen Research & Development L.L.C., part of Janssen Pharmaceutical Cos. of Johnson & Johnson.

David S. Wolf, shareholder in the Philadelphia office of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin, was elected president of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel. A trial attorney, Wolf is a member of the firm's casualty department.

Main Line Health senior vice president and chief nursing officer Barbara Wadsworth has been named chair of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau Nursing Leadership Committee. The committee works with PHL Life Sciences, a business-development division of the bureau, to promote Philadelphia as a destination for nursing meetings and conventions, a sector that has generated nearly $250 million for the region since 1996, according to the Convention Bureau.

Overbrook School for the Blind, a Philadelphia nonprofit that offers a variety of programs for children of different ages and abilities since 1832, has named the following trustees to its board: Anne Marble, founder and president of the Caramanico Foundation; James Murphy, chief financial officer for Patriot Financial Manager, Philadelphia; Bruce Fenster, a partner with CIO Wealth Partners; and Michael Van Thuyne, associate controller at Philadelphia University.

John Marcante and Donald Volk have been elected to the board of Cradles to Crayons-Philadelphia. Marcante is chief information officer and managing director of the Vanguard Group. Volk is chairman of Volk Investment Group and principal and director of Karlani Capital. The West Conshohocken-based nonprofit provides children from birth through age 12 living in homeless or low-income situations with essential items such as clothes, diapers, toys, books, and school supplies.

Lisa A. Myers has been elected president of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a statewide professional association. Myers, a principal with Boyer & Ritter CPAs in Camp Hill, leads the firm's forensic, litigation support and consulting service group.
