The Boardroom: Reinvestment Fund names University City Science Center executive to board

Reinvestment Fund, a Philadelphia nonprofit rebuilding distressed towns and cities through the use of capital and information, has named Saul A. Behar to its board. He is vice president and general counsel at the University City Science Center.

The City Avenue Special Services District has elected Kevin Michaels and Mark C. Reed to its board. They replace C. Kevin Gillespie and Lita Cohen. Michaels, managing partner at Cross Properties, is a major property owner in the district. Reed serves as president of St. Joseph's University.

The district has also reelected both Howard Wurzak, chairman and CEO of the Wurzak Hotel Group, and Jeffrey Goldstone, a commercial real estate professional and president of Herbert Yentis & Co. Realtors.

The Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia, has named Sandra Heydt, director of sales and marketing at the Logan Philadelphia, as a corporate leadership board member.

Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion, a restored Victorian house museum in Germantown, has named Lori Brennan to its board. She is the former director of marketing and communications for the University City District.

The Maternal and Child Health Consortium of Chester County, a nonprofit health advocacy organization, has elected Milena Oberti-Lanz and Cricely Reynolds to its board. Oberti-Lanz is the associate director of health and social services at Home of the Sparrow, a Chester County nonprofit. Reynolds is assistant market manager at Citadel Federal Credit Union in West Chester.

The Public Interest Law Center, a nonprofit law firm that helps vulnerable populations gain access to basic resources, has elected Daryn Rush to its board. Rush is a partner at White & Williams L.L.P. and chair of the firm's Reinsurance Group.

Jack Crowley, vice president of Cohero Health L.L.C. and founder of American Medical Specialties, has been named chair of the board of Mercy Neighborhood Ministries of Philadelphia Inc. The nonprofit also named three new board members: John Butts, director of marketing relations, PerformRX; Lawana Dumas, director of strategic alliances, Oncology Clinical Collaborations, Merck; and Donna Philips, executive director at Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners.

Edward D. Coleman has been named to the Committee on Professional Ethics of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants for a three-year term. Coleman is a partner with KPMG L.L.P. in Philadelphia.

The Delaware Valley chapter of RIMS (the Risk Management and Insurance Society) has elected the following officers: Art Boyle, vice president, enterprise risk management, at Radian is president; Jennifer Reno, global risk manager at QVC, vice president; Deborah Saunders, director, global risk management at Comcast, treasurer; Malika Adams, senior manager, global risk management at Comcast, secretary.

The following were named board members: Margarete Emery, analyst, insurance & risk management at CSL Behring; Sandra DiRenzo, senior manager, risk management at Crowne Holdings Inc; and Jeffrey M. Quinn, director of risk management at Allied Barton Security Services.
