Abington-Jefferson Health has named Orlando C. Kirton as surgeon-in-chief and chair of the Department of Surgery at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health. Kirton, a trauma surgeon, served between 1992 and 2001 in the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps, where he ascended to the rank of major. He had been the Ludwig J. Pyrtek, MD Chair of Surgery and chief of trauma at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, Conn., and professor and vice chair of surgery University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

Lantern Theater Co. has hired Stacy Maria Dutton as executive director. Dutton served as president of the Lantern board from 2009 to 2016 and as a director since 2005. She will continue to serve as an ex officio director of the Lantern.

Urban Engineers has promoted Edward C. Fronczkiewicz to general counsel. A vice president of the firm, Fronczkiewicz previously served as assistant counsel. He succeeds Bruce M. Mundorf, who will remain with the firm until his retirement in December.

Monument Bank, Warminster, has hired Virgil J. Haplea as vice president of the commercial lending division at the Main Street, Doylestown, location. He had been senior vice president working in commercial and industrial lending for Beneficial Bank.

Bryn Mawr Bank Corp., the parent of Bryn Mawr Trust Co., has hired LaMarr McDaniel as community reinvestment act lender. McDaniel had been a mortgage loan officer at Capital One.

Addis & Hill, Wayne, has hired William Mayer as director of financial planning. He had been sole practitioner at Legacy Advisors Group, which was acquired by Addis. Kelly F. Bashore has been promoted to investment adviser representative, from financial analyst.

Avison Young, a Toronto-based commercial real estate services firm, has hired Jennifer Stark as project manager and Kim Swider as an assistant project manager. Stark, a licensed architect, was owner and founder of Stark Design, which specialized in the preservation, rehabilitation, and adaptive use of historic buildings. Swider had been project coordinator at Dermone in Conshohocken.

Continuum Health Alliance, a Marlton-based regional physician-practice management company, has named Sherry Anderson senior vice president of customer experience. She had been vice president and general manager of health-plan solutions and vice president of alliance management at Availity L.L.C., and chief of staff to Availity's CEO. Mitch Kearney has been hired as general counsel. He had been managing member of Kearney Drechsler & Awalt L.L.C. Jim Way has been named general manager/senior vice president of Revenue Cycle Management. He had been director of the health-care division at Navigate.

Frank Amato, has been appointed CEO of electroCore, the Merck-backed developer of in non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation (nVNS) therapy. He had been chief operating officer of the Basking Ridge-based company. Amato, who joined electroCore in 2012 as COO, has extensive commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, had been U.S. vice president, specialty commercial operations group, at Merck.

PA Virtual Charter School, King of Prussia, has hired John Chandler as CEO. He had been supervisory field officer for Lake Superior State University in the Charter Schools office.

Business Wire, a Berkshire Hathaway company that distributes press releases and regulatory disclosures in Boston, has named Aaron Nye Philadelphia regional manager. He returns to the company after working as general manager and director of customer care for 1&1 Internet.

Cindy Leavitt has been hired as Temple University's vice president for computer services and chief information officer. She had been CIO at University of Michigan's medical school for five years.

RES, a Philadelphia provider of digital workspace technology, said it has expanded its footprint with new R&D tech centers in Boston and Bucharest and appointed Perry Smith, senior vice president of engineering.

Ken Trujillo, a business attorney and former Democratic candidate for Philadelphia mayor, has joined the Philadelphia firm of Chamberlain Hrdlicka as a shareholder. Trujillo, a former city solicitor of Philadelphia and assistant U.S. attorney, was cochair of the host committee for the 2016 Democratic National Convention.

St. Joseph's Prep, Philadelphia, has hired Elizabeth Courtney as chief development officer.

Jill Kyle will take on the expanded role of senior vice president for regional advancement at Jefferson Health. She has been at Abington Health Foundation since September 1999, and will remain as chief development officer throughout their current "Reimagine Cancer Care" Campaign.

Evolution Consulting & Research, a Blue Bell biopharmaceutical consulting and research firm, has hired Frank Gabbert as director. Gabbert, an accredited social scientist, had been senior vice president with the Qualitative Practice at Lieberman Research in Great Neck, N.Y., before becoming a consultant to various research agencies and pharmaceutical companies.

Jeffrey A. Sumner has joined the employee benefit team at Lockton as a senior vice president and client adviser in the company's Philadelphia operation. He had been vice president with Tompkins Insurance.

Aqua America Inc., the Bryn Mawr-based water utility, has promoted Shannon Becker to president of Aqua North Carolina. Becker succeeds  Tom Roberts, who has retired. He joined the company in 2009 as controller of Aqua North Carolina. In early 2012, he was named interim president for Aqua Virginia before assuming his role as president in August that year. Becker graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and is a certified public accountant.

The Graham Co., a Philadelphia insurance and employee benefits broker, has hired the following employees:
Ian M. Mitchell joined The Graham Company as a producer in the Washington, D.C./Maryland/Virginia market. The Manufacturing and Distribution Division named Tanya N. Pecorari as a producer. The Professional and Financial Services Division named Charles J. Mooney as a producer, and the Technical Development Department named Michael J. Avato as a technical development production associate. Additional hires include Michael W. Rymal as an associate claims consultant and Robert J. Whartenby as an account analyst.
