Pa. Liquor Control Board boosts payment to state
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board paid $100 million in profits to state government in the year ended June 30, up from the $80 million paid in recent years, the state agency said Wednesday.
Overall sales of wine and liquor reached $2.43 billion, up 3.8 percent from $2.34 billion in the the previous fiscal year. Total PLCB payments to state and local government were $626.3 million, up 7 percent from the year before.
