Airgas announces three acquisitions

Airgas Inc., Radnor, today said it acquired industrial gas and welding supply distributors in Iowa, Texas and British Columbia that, together will add about $22 million in annual sales.

The acquisitions closed Saturday, Airgas said in a statement. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.  The acquired companies were Wright Welding Supply Inc. in Des Moines, Iowa; Basin Welding Supply in Odessa, Texas; and Mainland Welding Supplies Ltd., based in Surrey, British Columbia, near Vancouver.

Airgas has 14,000 employees in 1,100 locations. Shares were down 15 cents, to $49.33 in trading this morning on the New York Stock Exchange.
