The Southampton company said the contract, won by its Testing and Simulations Systems Division, will test engine performance and emissions by soaking engines to a desired temperature within a range of -48 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit. These highly specialized units are crucial in performing cold-start tests.
ETC designs and develops aircrew training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation systems, and environmental testing and simulation systems. Its shares rose 10 cents to $4.17 in morning American Stock Exchange trading.
