Phila. region's gas prices up, diesel steady

The five-county Philadelphia region has an average price today of $4.03 for regular no-lead gas, up 2 cents over the weekend, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic.
South Jersey's average went up 3 cents over the weekend, to $3.87.
At the national level, the price moved up 2 cents over the weekend to $3.98.
Diesel prices were steady in some parts:
The average in the Philadelphia region held at $4.99; in South Jersey, the average was down 2 cents, to $4.74.
At the national level, the average for a gallon of diesel held firm at $4.79.
Oil dropped below $126 a barrel today on worries that prices are cutting into demand and as a probe into futures trading by a U.S. regulator continued to weigh on the market.
Light, sweet crude for July delivery was down $1.81 to $125.54 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange by midday in Europe.
On Friday, the contract settled at $127.35 a barrel, up 73 cents after dipping below $125 and then rebounding.
