In Philadelphia and its four subruban counties in Pennsylvania, the average pump price for regular rose to $4.09 a gallon, up a penny from yesterday. In the three suburban counties in South Jersey, the average today is $3.96 compared with $3.93 yesterday.
Pennsylvania's price per gallon for regular unleaded is $4.01, up from $3.99, Delaware's $4 compared with $3.99 yesterday, and New Jersey's $3.94, up two cents.
The national average was $4.02, up a penny.
A year ago, the national average price per gallon of regular unleaded was $3.09. In Pennsylvania, it was $3.03, $2.92 in New Jersey and $2.96 in Delaware.
