Applied Energy buys Matheson product line

Malvern company Applied Energy Systems Inc. has purchased a product line from competitor Matheson Tri-Gas of Montgomeryville.

Malvern company Applied Energy Systems Inc. has purchased a product line from competitor Matheson Tri-Gas of Montgomeryville.

Terms were not disclosed. Applied, which employs 40, said it would add 15 employees with the new product line.

Applied Energy designs, manufactures and installs high-purity gas-delivery systems for the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and other industries.    - Bob Fernandez
