Thurman named CardioNet’s chairman, CEO
Medical-device company CardioNet Inc. announces that it has named Randy Thurman chairman, president and chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Thurman had been board chairman since June 2008 and interim president and chief executive officer since January.
CardioNet is headquartered in Conshohocken.
He had more recently been chairman and CEO of Viasys Healthcare Inc., and before that was board chairman of Corning Life Sciences, and president of Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals Inc.
"Last week we announced our 2008 financial results which reflected year over year revenue growth of 65 percent and marked our first full year of profitability," Thurman said in a release.
He reiterated CardioNet's 2009 guidance of revenue growth of more than 40 percent and earnings per share growth of more than 75 percent over the prior year.
