Triumph Group buys Calif.-based Mexmil
Wayne-based Triumph Group Inc. has acquired aircraft insulation maker Mexmil Co. L.L.C., which is based in Santa Ana, Calif.

Terms were not disclosed, but Wayne-based Triumph said that the acquisition, which will be part of its Triumph Aerospace Systems Group, is expected to add about $50 million of revenue for fiscal year 2010 and to immediately add profit.
Mexmil has manufacturing facilities in Mexico and, through a joint venture, in China.
Triumph also said it has acquired the assets of Kongsberg Automotive's aviation segment.
The business, which employes about 30 people, makes and repairs cable control systems for ground, flight and engine management and cabin comfort features in aircraft.
The company, with sites in Basildon, U.K., and Heiligenhaus, Germany, will operate as Triumph Controls-UK Ltd. and Triumph Controls-Germany GmbH. It is expected to add about $12 million of revenues for fiscal year 2010 and immediately add profit.
Triumph companies design, engineer, manufacture, repair and overhaul aircraft components and accessories.
In mid-March, the company announced that it had acquired two companies: Aircraft structural components maker Merritt Tool Co. Inc. of Kilgore, Texas, which is projected to add $30 million in revenues for fiscal year 2010; and motion control and actuation products maker Saygrove Defence & Aerospace Group Ltd. of Buckley, United Kingdom, which is expected to add about $11 million in revenues for fiscal year 2010.
All of these acquisitions will be part of Triumph Aerospace Systems Group.
Company shares were trading at $35.50 this morning on the New York Stock Exchange, down $2.70 (7.07 percent).
