Highlights of the Bill

Based on the House measure introduced by State Rep. Bill DeWeese to add table games, a Pennsylvania casino operator would need to pay:

A $10 million license fee.

A $500,000 renewal fee.

Daily tax of 18 percent and a local-share assessment of 2 percent of its daily gross table-game revenue. The 18 percent goes to the Property Tax Relief Fund; the 2 percent has the same local distribution as slots.

An assessment of 1 percent of daily gross table-game revenue to the Department of Agriculture for its Agriculture Education Loan Forgiveness program, agriculture and rural youth programs, and payments to county agricultural societies that conduct harness racing at county fairs, for track and stable repair and maintenance.
