Aberdeen to take over 4 funds

Aberdeen Asset Management Inc., of Philadelphia, said it is taking over the management of $500 million in assets from four mutual funds that were advised by an entity affiliated with the Bank of Hawaii.

Aberdeen Asset Management Inc., of Philadelphia, said it is taking over the management of $500 million in assets from four mutual funds that were advised by an entity affiliated with the Bank of Hawaii.

The deal involves four Pacific Capital funds that will be reorganized into corresponding Aberdeen funds.

Aberdeen, which manages and services $47 billion in assets, did not disclose how much it paid to assume the assets.    - Harold Brubaker
