Jackson Hewitt to hire 32,000 seasonal staffers

PARSIPPANY, N.J. - Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. on Monday said it plans to hire more than 32,000 tax preparers for the coming tax season.

The Parsippany, N.J.-based company said it will employ both new and returning tax preparers in full-time and part-time positions. They will work in Jackson Hewitt offices and in Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

The company offers tax preparation education for those with no prior experience.

In late-afternoon trading, Jackson Hewitt shares were unchanged, at 77 cents. The stock has traded between 75 cents and $5.85 in the past year.
