Metals distributor buys Pa., N.C. sites

Alro Steel Corp. announced today that it is acquiring certain assets of Anderson Metals' three metals service centers: in Huntingdon Valley and York, Pa. and in Greensboro, N.C.

Terms were not disclosed, but Alro executive vice president David Schmidt said that 45 people were employed at the three sites, and that they would be retained.

Anderson Metals is based in York.
