Trion Group acquired by Marsh & McLennan

Trion Group Inc., an insurance consultant and broker based in Conshohocken, has been acquired by Marsh & McLennan Agency L.L.C. of New York for an undisclosed amount.

Trion, with $74 million in annual revenues, is the sixth acquisition that Marsh & McLennan, a subsidiary of insurance broker Marsh Inc., has made since November 2009.

With the Trion acquisition, Marsh & McLennan, formed in 2008, will have annual revenues of $260 million.

All of Trion's employees are expected to be retained.    - Diane Mastrull
