Judge dismisses Nancy Raynor's suit against fellow lawyers
She was hit with a nearly $1 million penalty, since overturned, because of the statements by the plaintiffs' attorneys.

A Common Pleas Court judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by defense lawyer Nancy Raynor seeking damages against plaintiffs' attorneys who accused her of eliciting precluded testimony from a witness in a medical malpractice trial, resulting in a nearly $1 million sanction against her.
Judge Arnold L. New on Tuesday tossed out Raynor's lawsuit filed in April against lawyers Matthew D'Annunzio, William T. Hill, and Joseph Messa Jr. The case drew attention because of the amount of the sanction imposed by Common Pleas Judge Paul Panepinto in 2014 over Raynor's handling of an expert witness.
Raynor sued the opposing lawyers for allegedly using the judicial system to harass her. A state Superior Court panel last year overturned the $946,197 fine, and the state Supreme Court upheld that decision.
